Church Organist – Part-Time
Starting in June 2026
Pineda Presbyterian Church is seeking a part-time Organist to enhance the musical offerings during worship for a redeveloping congregation rooted in the Presbyterian tradition.

The Organist will collaborate with the Music Director, Pastor, and other musicians in the selection, preparation, and presentation of liturgical music, accompany the congregation on hymns and responses, attend weekly evening ensemble rehearsals, and accompany soloists and ensembles during worship. This position reports directly to the Music Director, Pastor, and Worship Chair.
Key Areas of Responsibilities include:
Provide organ and/or piano music for all weekly and special services.
Select, prepare, and play music in coordination with the Music Director and Pastor, considering the themes of worship and the liturgical year.
Accompany musical soloists and ensembles during worship, including the Chancel Choir and Worship Band.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Music or related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered). Note: An audition will be part of the interview.
Ability to perform in a wide range of music styles, including classical, folk, and contemporary worship.
Ability to read sheet music and chord charts.
Effective interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
