First (Scots) Presbyterian Church in Charleston, SC welcomes the Rev. Dr. Tom Tewell as this year's Parramore Preaching Series minister. Dr. Tewell will speak at both the 8:45 am. and 11:15 am. services. Known as a dynamic and inspiring preacher, Tom has led multiple preaching seminars across the country. He is also founder of the Macedonian Ministry Foundation, a leadership development program for pastors that he started in 2008. Tom was pastor of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church on September 11, 2001, when his congregation offered a message of Christian hope to New York City and beyond. In addition, he has received numerous awards for his social justice ministry, particularly with the homeless in NYC where he led his congregation to know the homeless who slept on their steps by name.

• On Sunday, September 27 from 5-7 pm, Rev. Dr. Tom Tewell will speak at youth group. Dinner will be served as a part of the program, and there is no cost to attend. If your church would be interested in bringing a group of high school and/or middle school youth to this event along with their adult advisors, please contact Dr. James Rogers at jrogers@first-scots.org. • On Monday, September 28 at 12 p.m., we will host a leaders' luncheon. Leaders from the Charleston Atlantic Presbytery are invited to join us for lunch with Dr. Tewell.
